Farewell Fatu?
Crossed Contra
Mlw’s YouTube pay-per-view Burning Crush saw the returning Contra leader Mads Krueger defeating the longest reigning, arguably greatest MLW champion in history. Not only did he defeat him, but zipped him up in a body bag and had him carried out of the arena. Symbolizing, basically Jacob Fatu’s final days ending at that MLW event.
Before We Move On
If you’re in on Booker T and his promotion Reality of Wrestling, you’ll know that Booker T has resigned Zilla Fatu who’s in a tag team currently with Jacob slowly becoming a force in the Indies. Booker T has recently taken on a mentor role to Jacob promoting him to potentially be signed to WWE. Although this is a tremendous potential leap from one main world wrestling promotion to another, of course much larger promotion, I think we would be foolish not to stop and mourn over the loss of Fatu to Major League Wrestling. Though there really is nothing left to accomplish for him, for anyone who has seen him live there is an energy only he can bring to an arena, and a pop that no one could replicate.
Tis the Season
As it is the season for major changes, many careers have been finished in certain promotions, many forbidden doors have been opened, many careers are coming to an end period. This month’s spotlight is to say that for Major League Wrestling, I feel Jacob Fatu’s exit maybe is the biggest, most heartbreaking goodbye for them in the Last 5 years. Following the countless main events, for the long title reigns, for ushering in different factions, for taking on every big name and showing up every time, he should be highlighted.
